THE GRAND HOTEL DIEU IN LYON OPENS ITS DOORS

After 10-year of renovation, the Grand Hôtel Dieu Lyon now houses an Intercontinental hotel and after the one in Marseille, the brand has once again entrusted us with the task of designing the interiors of this exceptional landmark.  Monacal and precious: the juxtaposition of these two terms expresses the positioning of the decorative concept and finds its justification in the very essence of the building and beyond in the history of the Hôtel-Dieu.

Club Med have asked our Studio to create its first Mountain resort in Asia, in Tomamu on Hokkaido Island in Japan to be more precised. The famous butcher, fan of exiquisite meats, has asked our studio to design a corner at the Galeries Lafayette department store. Both a butchery and a restaurant, the corner gathers quality and authenticity by the use of qualitative materials, a pure design to put at the heart of the design wood, stainless steel and marble.

Presentation of the SITI –Orléans – la-Source’ renovation project

Following the direction of Architectecture et Patrimoine, our studio presents the renovation project of the SITI building located in Orléans-la-Source. Completed in 1968 by the Atelier de Montrouge, the structure is an iconic masterpiece of brutalist architecture from the 20th century. The building will soon find a new function by becoming a place to live, where the social vision of the Atelier de Montrouge has been our main inspiration for the project.

The Molitor Armchair selected for the No Taste for Bad Taste travelling exhibition

Designed for the Piscine Molitor project, the armchair of the series has been chosen to represent the best French design of the next 4 years. Managed by the VIA, the French furnishing Association and the French Institute, the No Taste for Bad Taste exhibition gathers 40 masterpieces of furniture to promote French Design and the excellency of French art de vivre. This travelling exhibition will visit 20 countries during major events of the design and furniture industry.

Launching of the Hamac seats at Maison et Objet

For Saint Luc, the studio focuses on linen to create a new range of seats: a chair, an armchair and a stool. The form of the hull refers to draping linen fabric over wooden legs. This smooth movement is then captured by transforming linen into a composite material. With their pure lines, the walnut legs greet the drapery of the seat, creating a dialogue with their curves and give the chairs both energy and elegance.
