Le Talaia Hotel & Spa – MGallery Collection – Biarritz
Biarritz, France
Nestled facing the ocean, Le Talaia Hotel offers a unique sensory experience, where natural materials, sandy hues, and mineral textures evoke the raw beauty of the Basque coastline. Between discreet sophistication with a relaxed spirit, every space in the hotel celebrates the art of living of the French South-West, where seaside charm meets the vibrant energy of surfing.

Reception
From the moment you step inside, the hotel asserts its personality: a lively, fluid, and multifunctional welcome area designed as a place for meeting and exchange. Here, the surf pro shop sits alongside a bar that also serves as an informal space for meetings or waiting. On the floor, stone laid in an opus pattern evokes cliffs and coastal paths; on the walls, slats of natural wood recall beach huts and the pine forests of the shoreline. In the background, a large contemporary mural embodies the spirit of the place, an artistic tribute to the sea, to movement, and to Basque culture.
Bedroom
The hotel’s rooms welcome you into a bright and spacious setting, offering breathtaking views of the sea. The chosen color palette, subtly blending shades of white and Basque red, brings a local touch to the interior design. For optimal comfort, the headboards are designed as large, informal cushions, inviting relaxation and a sense of conviviality.
Restaurant
The top floor is a true living space. It houses the bar, the indoor restaurant, the pool, and a large outdoor lounge/bar/restaurant area. Talaia, the name of the hotel, meaning “watchtower” takes on its full meaning here; the restaurant, suspended in the sky, becomes a real lookout over Biarritz, blending sky, sea, and mountains. To achieve this, the restaurant features extensive glazing. Inside, the seaside spirit continues: reed canopies on the ceiling and sand underfoot help create the atmosphere.
