Concrete LCDA - Panbeton / Decorative panels

Jean-Philippe Nuel has developed several collections of Panbeton® for the Concrete LCDA company, where raw materials are highlighted. The Panbeon Graphite keeps a woody note since it is inspired by the graphics that different types of wood draw when burning. Indeed, depending on whether we burn Douglas, Accoya, oak or pine, the surface of the wood will adopt cracked reliefs in scales, grooved all in length or smooth in tense curves. Wood remains the archetypal natural and warm material, while concrete evokes the city and an urban universe that is often disparaged. This apparent antagonism gives rise to a very specific tension in terms of aesthetics. A marriage of balance between an apparently inert material and a living one.

Wood and concrete are two materials that have completely different evocative powers for most people. Here, the two are in permanent dialogue.
