InterContinental Marseille – Hôtel Dieu

InterContinental - Marseille, France

Above the Old Port and facing Notre-Dame de la Garde, stands the former Hôtel-Dieu, one of the most emblematic buildings in Marseille. The mineral character of the city and that of the building with its Cassis stone facade as well as its opening onto the Mediterranean Sea are the inspirations for the interior design.

The Mediterranean is constantly evoked by the expression of the minerality of the city and the creeks: in the sculptures of enamelled fish or in the carpets combed like the sand.
